Artist's Statement

Painting has been my passion throughout my life. I am a self-taught artist and I feel I can best communicate my life experiences in a visual way. The abstraction of my artwork expresses my intuitive perception of the inward realities of emotions and thoughts. These emotions have been shaped by external influences and experiences throughout my life. Intertwined with my internal perceptions are my thoughts on how other dimensions and worlds can influence our (my) daily existence. I am intrigued by the idea that we may be governed by much more then we can interpret or understand.

For example, the piece  “Chasing the Storm” depicts a chaotic storm of emotions however the orbs have a spiritual freedom to flow freely through the storm, creating the peace that the other world can invoke. Positive energy can calm the storm and the idea that we exist together but in other realms is profound.

Influential artists include Jackson Pollock, Barnett Newman, Rothko, de Kooning and Gorky, some of which helped lead the Abstract Expressionist revolution of the 1950s and 60s.

Live on and let it continue...with peace, love, and creativity.
